#Tweet BD – Day 3 – CONTROVERSY!

Day 3 of #TweetBD and things are certainly hotting up.

Dave Green pulls out a massive 130 points as he’s finally found the RT button… and he was relentless in pushing Bradford, from crowing about us as Curry Capital to selling @visitBradford and more, and even giving me some top shopping advice by recommending local businesses.

George Galloway also broke his duck with Curry Capital congratulations and RTs of #BradfordHour (Thursday 8-9pm on Twitter) and @TLRSaltaire.

Susan Hinchcliffe had another great day with a big 75 and remains in a commanding lead.

Simon Cooke returned to pre-tournament form (after a steward’s enquiry (see below)) with a huge 110. This includes selling The George at Cullingworth and letting his followers know he’s not just an Iron but a Cougar, too.

15 – Tweet from an event / attraction.
50 – tweet linking to a self-penned blogpost / video about enjoying an event or attraction.

MagusGate

The first production of the post stated that Simon Cooke hadn’t tweeted or retweeted anything about Bradford on 29th October. I was surprised about this as, I was sure, I’d seen him tweet about his Christmas lunch, and remembered that, later, that I;d seen the Cougars’ tweet above via him. I should’ve known that something was wrong as Simon is a frequent and fervent seller of Bradford & District through Twitter. To him I say, genuinely, I’m sorry. I also thank him for pointing out the tweets I’d missed – of which there were many. I can only apologise and promise to check things which look out of place in future.

On a less serious note, I have had Microsoft on the phone and, as they couldn’t get Bill Gates on the line, all future counts will be based on Apple products. Not since the Michelin debacle during the American Grand Prix of 2005 has anyone been so let down by their equipment – and I don’t hesitate in making the comparrison here.

Any suggestion that, as the count took place in Bradford West, such irregularities are endemic in the local populous and part and parcel of political life here will not be entertained.

Simon, joking aside, I’m sorry – thank you for selling Bradford and selling it so well.
